Frequently asked questions
Will the account see that I watched their story?
No, not for public accounts. The stories are fetched by our server, so your Instagram account is never involved and your name does not appear in the viewers list.
Can I view stories from a private account?
Only if you already follow that account. The page then gives you a link to open while logged in to Instagram and paste back, so it uses your own login and is not anonymous.
Why do I see no story?
Stories disappear after 24 hours, so the account may simply have none right now. Check its highlights, which stay on the profile until the owner removes them.
Is the story viewer free?
Yes. It is free, needs no app and no sign-up, and works on phones and computers.
